We have an exceptionally wide and versatile range of machinery and equipment at our manufacturing facility that includes:
- Tool Making & Design
- CNC Machining
- Laser Cutting
- Full Heat Treatment
- Fabrication & Welding
- Hard Facing
Tooling is produced on 5 axis machining centres and our CNC wire and spark erosion capabilities enable durable high alloy tool steels to be machined and profiled accurately prior to specialised heat treatment. Our experienced design team use advanced 3D modeling systems that ensure consistency and quality. All tooling designs draw from a standardised portfolio of sizes with magazine type fitment to ensure rapid changeover times.
Production facilities include 6kw laser cutting for complex component profiles and a CNC shear which is capable of cutting components up to 25mm thick, with automatic nesting to achieve the highest possible yield. For products over 25mm thick, we also utilise an automated saw.
Rotary furnaces ensure controlled and uniform soak times whilst forming operations use mechanical presses of up to 500 tonnes. For ploughshares we offer a choice between a horizontal upsetting forge, providing exceptionally high strength components, or a 600 tonne counterblow hammer for greater dimensional flexibility within the same component. In our tempering process, the latest PLCs control the parameters of time and temperature to ensure the cycle is correct for each individual material cast analysis.
Laser scanning of bar codes by operatives enables real time tracing of production orders. With a final inspection regime including hardness levels, dimensional and component fitment checks, we can guarantee full traceability of components supplied and supply certificates of conformity on despatch.
