On Sunday, 11 May, Mike Southworth, Chapmans’ Sales & Technical Development Manager, took part in the Chesterfield 10K race.
Running on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK, a charity that holds a special place in his heart following his own diagnosis and successful treatment in 2024, Mike aimed to give back and support vital research and clinical trials.
Mike, pictured with his his daughter, Emma who also ran, achieved his goal of finishing in under an hour, crossing the finish line with just one second to spare!
“I cut it a bit fine in the end, but I’m really pleased to have achieved what I set out to do, never having run a 10K before. I would like to thank everyone who donated, especially our loyal customers and my Chapmans colleagues, whose generosity helped me raise over £1,000 in only 3 weeks. Your kindness means the world to me .”
