Sustainability Forever, for Everyone

Sustainability is important to everyone at Chapmans, in Sheffield, around the UK and beyond:

A recent survey by the University of Sheffield has found that over 120 species of trees are growing in gardens around the Steel City.  Chapmans’ products are usually used in farming fields rather than gardens, but we endeavour to work with the land – supporting regenerative farming practices such as low disturbance cultivation, direct drilling and mechanical weed control – the latter helping to reduce the use of herbicides, thereby promoting healthier soil.

Most of our products are made from hard-wearing boron steel, sustainable in that hardened parts are manufactured using less primary raw material, and of course metal is fully recyclable: it can be melted down and repurposed again and again.
