Hot Weather Fans and Hosepipe Bans

Summertime Chapmans:

We are now in the middle of summer.  A hosepipe ban is in place across Yorkshire and in many other places too.  Temperatures have been topping 30 degrees here in Sheffield, and in our factory the mercury often rises to more than 40°C.  Can you imagine working in such temperatures, but with extra heat from a furnace burning at up to 1300°C?

So how do Chapmans’ colleagues cope during such a heatwave?  Well, in addition to our factory having modern ventilation systems, our committed team of hotworkers are given additional breaks from the furnaces every hour, plenty of water to keep hydrated, and even an ice-cream to help them get through a hot, sweaty shift.

Meanwhile, the weather affects farming conditions all over the world.  Chapmans will always keep producing parts ready for when our customers need them.
